“The John Huntington Scholarship has been a cornerstone of my ability to thrive academically and serve others. I have been able to invest in leadership roles, volunteer work, and skill building like doing an EMT program. These are experiences that shape my future goal of joining the healthcare field and becoming a physician. This scholarship has connected me with many people who have explained to me how education can transform lives, and this reinforced my passion to advance strongly in my education. I have taken a very active role as a leadership scholar, and I am also becoming an Arrupe scholar. I am vice president of a club called Health Education & Awareness League, I travelled on an immersion to El Salvador, and I have taken part in many volunteer opportunities. Guided by the JHFE’s belief in my potential, I am determined to carry this legacy forward.”
