“The John Huntington Scholarship has enabled me to pursue my major in Neuroscience for which I am truly grateful. I have been able to invest more time in undergraduate research at Baldwin Wallace (BW). My initial reason for transferring to BW from community college was its neuroscience program and its emphasis on undergraduate research opportunities. This information was shared during my initial meeting with my now primary investigator (PI) during a prospective student meeting. My PI shared that upper-level neuroscience classes at BW include research experiences that allow students to read and assess scientific literature, conduct research, and collect empirical data. Most importantly, these experiences aim to contribute to a research publication. By enrolling at BW, I was guaranteed access to candid research opportunities in neuroscience, making myself a standout applicant when it comes time to apply to PhD programs for graduate school.”
